Coworth Park Hotel

Where life has another flavour

PMmedia Adv.
Stood in a country the history of which dates back to the 10th century, Coworth Park Hotel is the ideal setting for nature lovers. The Dorchester Collection undertook to create a space that would reflect the roots of its ancestors and at the same time do justice to the country philosophy, which dispenses with exact geometries and artificial attempts at perfection. Hand in hand with luxury, the property guarantees spiritual journeys from another world, bursting with five stars of comfort, excellence, and, of course, unique flavours. It’s time to slow down the frenetic pace of everyday life and visit Coworth Park Hotel, the place where life has another flavour.
Set in the Berkshire countryside, Coworth Park ensures a unique sensory experience, combining premium service with Mother Nature. Open almost 365 days a year, the venue shapes every season to the comfort and happiness of its guests. Summer is synonymous with a meadow of stunning wildflowers. Winter evenings result in convoluted conversations around the fire. And autumn enables walks through the long, colourful corridors outlined by autumnal leaves. But none of this would be possible if there was no history behind it. Let’s go back in time.

Unparalleled sensory experience
It was the year 1066 when Edward the Confessor, the last Anglo-Saxon king of England, granted the land of the current hotel to Westminster Abbey. But it was in 1776 that Coworth House was born, belonging to the merchant William Shepheard, who named it after the surrounding hamlet of Coworth. Passing then through several generations and owners, including the sheriff of London and the Early of Derby, it even welcomed the Prince and Princess of Wales (the future King Edward VII) when they stayed there on two occasions. The Dorchester Collection saw the potential of the country house in the first decade of the new century. In it, it saw a rare gem, and hasn’t let go since. It put the property through a complete restoration and opened in September 2010. It currently boasts 240 acres of picturesque parkland, an equestrian centre, polo fields, a kids club and multiple outdoor activities
The stay starts with a choice between rooms and suites, all of which are fresh and bright, with a unique rural charm. Beginning with the simplest options, the Stable Superior Room is a peaceful, comfortable space, while the Stable Deluxe Room is a hideaway where no one will be able to find you, with an outdoor sitting area perfect for relaxed candlelit conversations. For those who like large windows and magnificent views, the Mansion House Superior Room is what you’re looking for. But the top spot among the rooms goes to the Mansion House Deluxe Room, a spacious and airy place where comfort is the priority. One of the hotel’s best-kept secrets, you won’t regret discovering what’s in store for you. Should you choose to stay overnight in the suites, you may be overwhelmed by the sublime charm intrinsic to each one. When it comes to the luxury universe of suites, the most modest is the Stable Junior Suite, a retreat with views that calm the senses and chase the sorrows of life away. Making our way through the suites, we find the Mansion House Junior Suite, the Mansion House Executive Suite, and the Cottage Executive Suite, until we reach the top of the hierarchy, where we find the icon of luxury, the Mansion House Premium Suite

The hotel offers you the best gourmet delights
With a country house style, bold colours and a light atmosphere, the suite guarantees a powerful communion with the surroundings. The design it encompasses sets it apart from all the others, thanks to the creation of an environment that reflects Coworth Park’s identity. But the property presents you with two more options: the North Lodge, a private cottage, which features three bedrooms, a state-of-the-art kitchen and an idyllic country garden; and the Dower House, a unique grade II listed house, ideal for large families.
Finally, and to satisfy any cravings, the hotel can offer you the finest gourmet delights and rejuvenating experiences in its spa.
Now, open the window of your room and imagine yourself surrounded by nature, breathing the sweetest, cleanest air you have ever experienced. Your work commitments can wait...
