Brussels formalises the creation of Lobito Atlantic Holdings S.A., the result of a partnership between Portuguese construction company Mota-Engil and Grupo Trafigura. The company will build, maintain and operate a railroad in the Lobito province, a key route for linking mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo to the Angolan regio’s port and international markets. The work is a result of support for rail and logistics services for the Lobito corridor, determined on July 20, 2022.
