Dior Spa Royal Scotsman

Unique luxury on rails

PMmedia Adv.
In 1955, Christian Dior held his first fashion show in Scotland, at Gleneagles estate. So many decades later, the brand is returning to those origins. It has boarded the legendary Scottish train and until the end of October, the magnificent Royal Scotsman, with its inimitable Edwardian-style cabins, mahogany-panelled dining cars and unique Observation car, will host the new Dior Spa. This meeting between two iconic houses promises to be the perfect escape, a journey with the focus on wellness, inspired by the ageless beauty of Scotland. A calm like no other.  For all this you can already guess that this is a special journey. Delight in the pleasure of slowing down aboard an elegant carriage and the opportunity to comfortably admire the stunning landscape, while enjoying the pleasure of an on-the-go treatment, as luxurious as it is effective.
The exclusive spa, worthy of a premium hotel on wheels, is open to all train passengers on every journey. Dior adds a touch of magic to two lacquered-wood cabins of the iconic Royal Scotsman, decorated for the occasion with the famous wine-coloured toile de Jouy
And it is in this cosy atmosphere, of these timeless wagons, that the French maison is offering a high-end programme based around three bespoke signature treatments that guests of the Royal Scotsman can enjoy as part of their Highland itineraries lasting several nights. Inspired by the skincare Dior is so known for, the protocols in place convey the power of Scottish landscapes and traditions to match the expectations of the trips of this historic train, ensuring a memorable experience of beauty and well-being. For the face, there is the D-Highlands treatment. Thanks to Kobido techniques, enhanced by the Dior Prestige range, this rejuvenating facial procedure sculpts the features, lifting the skin to its highest level – a kind of reflection of the Highlands that can be admired from the windows of the moving train.
For the body, there are two options: the D-Travel, a deep and slow massage that eliminates toxins, releases tension, relieves pain and helps you relax, before continuing your journey in total tranquillity; and the D-Elements massage, which pays tribute to Scotland, where the four seasons can come one after the other in the space of a single day. The sun beats down on your back, thanks to hot semi-precious stones; a breeze blows on your lower body, thanks to a series of regular massages; and the rain is characterised by a Bain Dior mist, warmed by hot oshibori. The Dior Spa, on board the Royal Scotsman, is, for all this, a unique adventure, bringing together savoir-faire and lifestyle in a dream of travel and beauty.
